Section 515 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 321d ) is amended— in subsection (a)— by striking emergency managers and decision makers and inserting emergency managers, decision makers, and other appropriate officials ; and by inserting and steady-state activity before the period at the end; in subsection (b)— in paragraph (1)— by striking and tribal governments and inserting tribal, and territorial governments, the private sector, and international partners ; by striking in the event of and inserting for events, threats, and incidents involving ; and by striking and at the end; in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: enter into agreements with other Federal operations centers and other homeland security partners, as appropriate, to facilitate the sharing of information. ; in subsection (c)— in the subsection heading, by striking Fire Service and inserting Emergency Responder ; by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting the following: The Secretary shall establish a position, on a rotating basis, for a representative of State and local emergency responders at the National Operations Center established under subsection
(b)to ensure the effective sharing of information between the Federal Government and State and local emergency response services. ; by striking paragraph (2); and by redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (2).
