Sec. 1636. Report on policies for responding to malicious cyber activities carried out against the United States or United States persons by foreign states or non-state actors

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on policies, doctrine, procedures, and authorities governing Department of Defense activities in response to malicious cyber activities carried out against the United States or United States persons by foreign states or non-state actors. The report required under subsection
(a)shall include the following: Specific citations to appropriate associated Executive branch and agency directives, guidance, instructions, and other authoritative policy documents. Descriptions of relevant authorities, rules of engagement, command and control structures, and response plans.
