Sec. 1634. Limitation on availability of funds for cryptographic systems and key management infrastructure

Of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2017 for cryptographic systems and key management infrastructure, not more than 75 percent may be obligated or expended until the date on which the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Director of the National Security Agency, submits to the appropriate congressional committees a report on the integration of the cryptographic modernization and key management infrastructure programs of the military departments, including a description of how the military departments have implemented stronger leadership, increased integration, and reduced redundancy with respect to such modernization and programs.
In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means the following: The congressional defense committees. The Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
