Sec. 609. Comptroller General of the United States study on homeless veterans programs of Department of Veterans Affairs

Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall— complete a study of programs of the Department of Veterans Affairs that provide assistance to homeless veterans; and submit to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs of the Senate and the Committee on Veterans' Affairs of the House of Representatives a report on the findings of the Comptroller General with respect to the study required by paragraph (1). The study required by subsection (a)(1) shall include the following: An assessment of whether programs described in subsection
(a)are meeting the needs of veterans who are eligible for assistance provided by such programs, including any gaps or duplication in the provision of services. A review of recent efforts of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to improve the privacy, safety, and security of female veterans receiving assistance from such programs.
