Section 3 of the Act entitled An Act authorizing the construction, repair, and preservation of certain public works on rivers and harbors, and for other purposes , approved March 2, 1945 ( 33 U.S.C. 603a ), is amended— by striking $1,000,000 and inserting $5,000,000 ; and by inserting striking accumulated snags and other debris and inserting accumulated snags, obstructions, and other debris located in or adjacent to a Federal channel . ; and by striking or flood control and inserting , flood control, or recreation .
