Section 48103(a) is amended by striking section 47505(a)(2), and carrying out noise compatibility programs under section 47504(c) $3,350,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2012 through 2015 and $1,675,000,000 for the period beginning on October 1, 2015, and ending on March 31, 2016 and inserting section 47505(a)(2), carrying out noise compatibility programs under section 47504(c), for an airport cooperative research program under section 44511, for Airports Technology-Safety research, and Airports Technology-Efficiency research, $3,350,000,000 for fiscal year 2016 and $3,750,000,000 for fiscal year 2017 . Section 47104(c) is amended in the matter preceding paragraph
(1)by striking After March 31, 2016 and inserting After September 30, 2017 .
