Section 200302 of title 54, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (b), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking During the period ending September 30, 2015, there and inserting There ; and in subsection (c)(1), by striking through September 30, 2015 . Section 200304 of title 54, United States Code, is amended— by striking There and inserting
(a)In General.—There ; and by striking the second sentence and inserting the following: Of the appropriations from the Fund— not less than 40 percent shall be used collectively for Federal purposes under section 200306; not less than 40 percent shall be used collectively— to provide financial assistance to States under section 200305; for the Forest Legacy Program established under section 7 of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 ( 16 U.S.C. 2103c ); for cooperative endangered species grants authorized under section 6 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 ( 16 U.S.C. 1535 ); and for the American Battlefield Protection Program established under chapter 3081; and not less than 1.5 percent or $10,000,000, whichever is greater, shall be used for projects that secure recreational public access to Federal public land for hunting, fishing, or other recreational purposes. . Section 200306 of title 54, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: The Secretary and the Secretary of Agriculture shall consider the acquisition of conservation easements and other similar interests in land where appropriate and feasible. . Section 200306 of title 54, United States Code (as amended by subsection (c)), is amended by adding at the end of the following: The Secretary and the Secretary of Agriculture shall take into account the following in determining the land or interests in land to acquire: Management efficiencies. Management cost savings. Geographic distribution. Significance of the acquisition. Urgency of the acquisition. Threats to the integrity of the land to be acquired. The recreational value of the land. .
