The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technology Competitiveness Act of 1989 ( 42 U.S.C. 12001 et seq. ) is repealed. Section 6(b)(3) of the Federal Nonnuclear Energy Research and Development Act of 1974 ( 42 U.S.C. 5905(b)(3) ) is amended— in subparagraph (Q), by adding and after the semicolon; by striking subparagraph (R); and by redesignating subparagraph
(S)as subparagraph (R). Section 1204 of the Energy Policy Act of 1992 ( 42 U.S.C. 13313 ) is amended— in subsection (b), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), in the first sentence, by striking , in consultation with and all that follows through under section 6 of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technology Competitiveness Act of 1989, ; and in subsection (c), by striking , in consultation with the Advisory Committee, .
