The National Critical Materials Act of 1984 ( 30 U.S.C. 1801 et seq. ) is repealed. Section 3(d) of the National Superconductivity and Competitiveness Act of 1988 ( 15 U.S.C. 5202(d) ) is amended in the first sentence by striking , with the assistance of the National Critical Materials Council as specified in the National Critical Materials Act of 1984 ( . 30 U.S.C. 1801 et seq. ), Nothing in this subtitle or an amendment made by this subtitle modifies any requirement or authority provided by— the matter under the heading of the first section of the Act of March 3, 1879 ( GEOLOGICAL SURVEY 43 U.S.C. 31(a) ); or the first section of Public Law 87–626 ( 43 U.S.C. 31(b) ).
This subtitle shall not apply to any mineral described in Secretarial Order No. 3324, issued by the Secretary of the Interior on December 3, 2012, in any area to which the order applies.
