Section 32905 of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking subsection
(d)and inserting the following: For any model of gaseous fuel dual fueled automobile manufactured by a manufacturer in model years 1993 through 2016, the Administrator shall measure the fuel economy for that model by dividing 1.0 by the sum of— .5 divided by the fuel economy measured under section 32904(c) of this title when operating the model on gasoline or diesel fuel; and .5 divided by the fuel economy measured under subsection
(c)of this section when operating the model on gaseous fuel. For any model of gaseous fuel dual fueled automobile manufactured by a manufacturer in model year 2017 or any subsequent model year, the Administrator shall calculate fuel economy in accordance with section 600.510–12 (c)(2)(vii) of title 40, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on the date of enactment of this paragraph) if the vehicle qualifies under section 32901(c). .
