Section 2976(f) of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 3797w(f) ) is amended— in paragraph (5), by striking and at the end; and by adding at the end the following: provide mental health treatment and transitional services for those with mental illnesses or with co-occurring disorders, including housing placement or assistance; and .
