Section 5(a) of the Assessing Progress in Haiti Act of 2014 ( 22 U.S.C. 2151 note) is amended by striking December 31, 2017 and inserting December 31, 2022 . Section 5(b) of the Assessing Progress in Haiti Act of 2014 ( 22 U.S.C. 2151 note) is amended— in paragraph (12), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (13), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following: a determination of whether recent Haitian elections are free, fair and responsive to the people of Haiti; and a description of any attempts to disqualify candidates for political officers in Haiti for political reasons. .
