It is the sense of Congress that the Department has not implemented all of the recommendations made by the Government Accountability Office
(GAO)and the Office of the Inspector General
(OIG)related to embassy security and that some recommendations may yield potentially significant cost savings to the Department. The Secretary shall provide a briefing to the appropriate congressional committees detailing the rationale for not implementing recommendations made by the GAO and OIG related to embassy security or those that may yield significant cost savings to the Department, if implemented.
