Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commandant of the Coast Guard shall submit to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives a report that assesses the effect of any new major acquisition on the stated Program of Record and the Capital Investment Plan of the Coast Guard. The report shall include life-cycle funding requirements, an assessment of impact on delivery dates of current acquisitions projects and programs, an assessment of impact on planned construction or improvement projects, and recommendations on funding levels necessary to simultaneously support any proposed and current acquisitions projects and programs.
