Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement shall be revised to establish a preference for fixed-price contracts, including fixed-price incentive fee contracts, in the determination of contract type for development programs. Section 818(c) of the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 ( Public Law 109–364 ; 120 Stat. 2329) is amended— in the first sentence, by inserting or major automated information system after major defense acquisition program ; and by striking the second sentence.
