In this Act: The term Department means the Department of Energy. The term National Laboratory means a nonmilitary national laboratory owned by the Department. The term National Laboratory includes— Ames Laboratory; Argonne National Laboratory; Brookhaven National Laboratory; Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory; Idaho National Laboratory; Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; National Energy Technology Laboratory; National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Oak Ridge National Laboratory;
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory; Savannah River National Laboratory; Stanford Linear Accelerator Center; Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility; and any laboratory operated by the National Nuclear Security Administration, with respect to the civilian energy activities conducted at the laboratory. The term Secretary means the Secretary of Energy.
