Not later than 18 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation shall— conduct a study of— the routes of trains transporting at least 20 tank cars of flammable liquids or gases; and the availability of equipment and fire-fighting materials appropriate for a large-scale release of flammable liquids or gases along the routes described in subparagraph (A); submit a report containing the results of the study conducted under paragraph
(1)to— the Committee on Finance of the Senate ; the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate ; the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate ; the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate ; the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives ; the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives ; and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives ; and make the results of the study conducted under paragraph
(1)available to the public, including on an Internet website.
