Section 6(c)(5) of the Commodity Exchange Act ( 7 U.S.C. 9(5) ) is amended— by striking For the purpose of securing and inserting the following: For the purpose of securing ; and by adding after and below the end the following: An omnibus order of investigation shall not be for an indefinite duration and may be renewed only by Commission action. In clause (i), the term omnibus order of investigation means an order of the Commission authorizing 1 of more members of the Commission or its staff to issue subpoenas under subparagraph
(A)to multiple persons in relation to a particular subject matter area. .
