It is the sense of Congress that the maritime security of United States allies and partners bordering the South China Sea would be enhanced by the transfer of an Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate to an appropriate country in the region. Congress urges the Secretary of State to begin the process of consulting with Congress on the transfer of such a vessel as soon as possible.
