Section 1311(c)(1)(B) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ( 42 U.S.C. 18031(c)(1)(B) ) is amended by inserting before the semicolon the following: and, with respect to such providers, a provider’s ability to provide care in a language other than English either through the provider speaking such language or by the provider having a training medical interpreter who speaks such language available during office hours . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall apply for plan years beginning more than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act.
