The Secretary shall work with States participating in programs authorized under the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1751 et seq. ) and the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 ( 42 U.S.C. 1771 et seq. ) to encourage— streamlining of program administration, including data collection and reporting requirements, at the State level; communication among State agencies administering the programs; coordination of administration of Federal benefits at the State level to ensure efficiency of program delivery and improved access to participants; and consolidation and elimination of duplicative or unnecessary Federal and State reporting requirements.
