Section 15 of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 ( 42 U.S.C. 1784 ) is amended by striking paragraph
(2)and inserting the following: The term authorized State agency means— the chief State school officer (such as the State superintendent of public instruction, commissioner of education, or similar officer); a board of education controlling the State department of education; the State Commissioner or individual who administers agricultural programs in the State; or a State official the State legislature designates to administer the programs under this Act. .
