Section 27(a)(2) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2036(a)(2) ) is amended— in subparagraph
(C)by striking 2018 and inserting 2016 , in subparagraph (D)— by striking through 2018 and inserting and 2016 , in clause
(i)by adding and at the end, in clause
(ii)by adding and at the end, and by striking clauses
(iii)and (iv), and by amending subparagraph
(E)to read as follows: for fiscal year 2017, $500,000,000; and for each subsequent fiscal year, the amount specified in clause
(i)adjusted by the percentage by which the thrifty food plan has been adjusted under section 3(u)(4) to reflect changes between June 30, 2015, and June 30 of the immediately preceding fiscal year. .
