Section 3911(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking eight years and inserting six years ; and in paragraph (2), by striking September 30, 2018 and inserting September 30, 2019 . Section 6323(a)(2) of such title is amended— in subparagraph (A), by striking eight years and inserting six years ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking September 30, 2018 and inserting September 30, 2019 . Section 8911(b) of such title is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking eight years and inserting six years ; and in paragraph (2), by striking September 30, 2018 and inserting September 30, 2019 .
The amendments made by subsections (a)(1), (b)(1), and (c)(1) shall apply only with respect to a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps who is retired on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
