Section 40728(h) of title 36, United States Code, is amended— by striking and inserting Subject to paragraph (2), the Secretary may transfer
(1)The Secretary shall transfer ; by striking The Secretary shall determine a reasonable schedule for the transfer of such surplus pistols. ; and by striking paragraph (2). Section 1087 of National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 ( Public Law 114–92 ; 129 Stat. 1012) is amended— in subsection (b)(1)— by striking may each place it appears and inserting shall ; and by striking not more than 10,000 ; and by striking subsection (c).
