Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall provide to the congressional defense committees a briefing on the efforts of the Department of Defense to protect the personally identifiable information of members of the Armed Forces and their families, and of employees of the Department of Defense, which shall include— current and planned initiatives to protect the personally identifying information of members of the Armed Forces and their families, and employees of the Department of Defense; the challenges encountered in carrying out the activities described in paragraph (1); and any trends related to fraudulent activity that targets the personally identifying information of members of the Armed Forces or their families, or employees of the Department of Defense.
