To the extent there are ratings of a depository institution’s management and internal controls, the appropriate Federal banking agencies shall consider the extent to which the institution complies with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. The term Bank Secrecy Act has the meaning given the term Federal bank secrecy law under section 106(c)(5). The terms appropriate Federal banking agency and depository institution have the meaning given those terms, respectively, under section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act ( 12 U.S.C. 1813 ).
