Sec. 513. Inclusion of sensitive compartmented information facilities in United States diplomatic facilities in Cuba

The Secretary of State shall ensure that each United States diplomatic facility in Cuba that, after the date of the enactment of this Act, is constructed or undergoes a construction upgrade includes a sensitive compartmented information facility. The Secretary of State may waive the requirement under subsection
(a)if the Secretary— determines that such waiver is in the national security interest of the United States; submits to the appropriate congressional committees written justification for such waiver; and a period of 90 days elapses following the date of such submission. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the congressional intelligence committees; the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.
