Section 455(m)(2) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1087e(m)(2) ) is amended— by striking After and inserting the following: Except as provided under subparagraph (B), after ; and by adding at the end the following: The Secretary shall not cancel under this paragraph an amount greater than $57,500 of principal and interest due on an eligible Federal Direct Loan made to a borrower for a program of undergraduate education .
