Section 506 of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290aa–5 ) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking substance abuse and inserting substance use disorder ; in subsection (b)— in paragraphs
(1)and (3), by striking substance abuse each place the term appears and inserting substance use disorder ; and in paragraph (4), by striking substance abuse and inserting a substance use disorder ; in subsection (c)— in paragraph (1), by striking substance abuse disorder and inserting substance use disorder ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking substance abuse and inserting a substance use disorder ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking substance abuse and inserting substance use disorder ; and in subsection (e), by striking , $50,000,000 for fiscal year 2001, and such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 2002 and 2003 and inserting $41,304,000 for each of fiscal years 2018 through 2022 .
