Sec. 341. Amendment to the Safe Drinking Water Act

Section 1422 of the Safe Drinking Water Act ( 42 U.S.C. 300h–1 ) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: For the purposes of subsection (c), if the Administrator finds that a State has, at any time, improperly issued permits under the State’s underground injection control program and the State fails to address such deficiencies and take sufficient remedial action, as determined by the Administrator, by the date that is 90 days after the date on which the Administrator notifies the State of such finding, the State shall be considered to no longer meet the requirements of clause
(i)or
(ii)of subsection (b)(1)(A) until such time as the State has addressed the deficiencies and taken sufficient remedial action, as determined by the Administrator. .
