Section 5309 is amended— in subsections (d)(1)(B) and (g)(2)(A)(i), by striking policies and land use patterns that promote public transportation, in each place it appears; and in subsection 5309(d)(2)(A)— in clause

Section 5312 is amended— in subsection (d)(5)(A)— in clause (i)(II), by striking section 5303 and inserting 23 U.S.C. 101(a)(14) ; and by striking clause (vi), and inserting the following: The term recipient means a designated recipient, a local governmental entity, or a State that receives a Federal low or no emissions vehicle grant for an urbanized area eligible under clause

A recipient that receives a grant under this section may allocate amounts of the grant to subrecipients that are public agencies or private nonprofit organizations engaged in public transportation. . Section 5340(b) is amended by striking 5338(b)(2)(M) and inserting 5338(a)(2)(K) .
