The Voice of America shall adhere to the following principles in the course of fulfilling its duties and responsibilities: Serving as a consistently reliable and authoritative source of news on the United States, its policies, its people, and the international developments that affect the United States. Providing accurate, objective, and comprehensive information, with the understanding that these three values provide credibility among global news audiences. Presenting the official policies of the United States, and related discussions and opinions about those policies, clearly and effectively.
Representing the whole of the United States, and shall accordingly work to produce programming and content that presents a balanced and comprehensive projection of the diversity of thought and institutions of the United States.
