Section 502(c) ( 45 U.S.C. 822(c) ) is amended— in paragraph (1), by inserting , including projects for the installation of a positive train control system (as defined in section 20157(i) of title 49, United States Code) after public safety ; by moving paragraph

(3)to appear before paragraph (2), and redesignating those paragraphs accordingly; in paragraph (5), by inserting or after chapter 227 of title 49 section 135 of title 23 ; by redesignating paragraphs

(6)through

(8)as paragraphs

(7)through (9), respectively; and by inserting after paragraph

(5)the following: improve railroad stations and passenger facilities and increase transit-oriented development; . Section 502(h)(2) ( 45 U.S.C. 822(h)(2) ) is amended by inserting , if applicable after project .
