Section 6302(b)(3)(B) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— in clause (vi)(III) by striking section 6310 and inserting section 6309 ; by redesignating clauses (vii), (viii), (ix), and
(x)as clauses (x), (xi), (xii), and (xiii), respectively; and by inserting after clause
(vi)the following: develop and improve transportation economic accounts to meet demand for methods for estimating the economic value of transportation infrastructure, investment, and services; not be required to obtain the approval of any other officer or employee of the Department in connection with the collection or analysis of any information; not be required, prior to publication, to obtain the approval of any other officer or employee of the Federal Government with respect to the substance of any statistical technical reports or press releases that the Director has prepared in accordance with the law; . Section 6311(5) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking section 6310 and inserting section 6309 .
