Section 1409 of SAFETEA–LU ( 23 U.S.C. 401 note) is amended— by striking the section heading and inserting ; and Work zone and guard rail safety training in subsection
(b)by adding at the end the following: Development, updating, and delivery of training courses on guard rail installation, maintenance, and inspection. . The table of contents in section 1(b) of such Act is amended by striking the item relating to section 1409 and inserting the following: Sec. 1409. Work zone and guard rail safety training. .
