Section 135 of title 23, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)(2) by striking and bicycle transportation facilities and inserting, , bicycle transportation facilities, and intermodal facilities that support intercity transportation, including intercity buses and intercity bus facilities ; in subsection (d)— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph
(G)by striking and at the end; in subparagraph
(H)by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following: improve the reliance and reliability of the transportation system and reduce or mitigate stormwater impacts of surface transportation; and enhance travel and tourism. ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph
(A)by striking and in section 5301(c) of title 49 and inserting and the general purposes described in section 5301 of title 49 ; in subparagraph (B)(ii) by striking urbanized ; and in subparagraph
(C)by striking urbanized ; and in subsection (f)— in paragraph (3)(A)(ii)— by inserting public ports, before freight shippers, ; and by inserting (including intercity bus operators, employer-based commuting programs, such as a carpool program, vanpool program, transit benefit program, parking cash-out program, shuttle program, or telework program) after private providers of transportation ; and in paragraph (7), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking should and inserting shall .
