Section 4503 of title 46, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (c), by adding at the end the following: Subsection
(a)does not apply to a fishing vessel or fish tender vessel described in subsection (d)(6), if the vessel complies with an alternative safety compliance program established under that subsection for such a vessel. ; and in subsection (d), by adding at the end the following: The Secretary shall establish an alternative safety compliance program for fishing vessels or fish tender vessels (or both) that are at least 50 feet overall in length, and not more than 79 feet overall in length, and built after July 1, 2013. .
