Section 8521(a)(1) of title 5, United States Code, is amended by striking 90 days in the matter preceding subparagraph
(A)and inserting 180 days . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act, and shall apply with respect to periods of Federal service commencing on or after that date.
