It is the sense of the Senate that— the United States should consider, in a timely manner, opportunities to enhance the strike capability of fighter aircraft of the Qatar air force that would contribute to Qatar’s self-defense and deter Iran's regional ambitions and simultaneously preserve the qualitative military edge of Israel; and Qatar should be afforded the opportunity through acquisition of appropriate technologies and exercises with the United States Armed Forces and the armed forces of partner nations to develop improved self-defense and counter force aviation capabilities that advanced fighter aircraft would provide.
