Sec. 1226. Report on lines of communication of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and other foreign terrorist organizations

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report setting forth the following: An assessment of the lines of communication that enable the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Jabhal al-Nusra, and other foreign terrorist organizations by facilitating the delivery of foreign fighters, funding, equipment, or other assistance through countries bordering on Syria. An assessment of the impacts of the lines of communication described in paragraph
(1)on the security of the United States homeland and the protection of personnel and installations of the Department of Defense and diplomatic facilities in Europe and the Middle East. In this section, the term appropriate committees of Congress means— the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate; and the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives.
