Section 1107(c)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 ( 10 U.S.C. 2358 note) is amended by striking 3 percent and inserting 5 percent . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on January 1, 2016, and shall apply with respect to appointments of candidates under section 1107(a)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 on or after that date.
