Sec. 1620. Evaluation of exploitation of space-based infrared system against additional threats

The Commander of the United States Strategic Command, in cooperation with the Secretary of the Navy, the Secretary of the Air Force, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Commander of the United States Northern Command, shall conduct an evaluation of space-based infrared systems to detect, track, and target, or to develop the capability to detect, track, and target, the full range of threats to the United States, deployed members of the Armed Forces, and allies of the United States.
Not later than December 31, 2016, the Commander of the United States Strategic Command shall submit to the congressional defense committees, the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate the evaluation under subsection (a).
