Sec. 1066. Annual reports of the Chief of the National Guard Bureau on the ability of the National Guard to meet its missions

Section 10504(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by inserting
(1)before The Chief of the National Guard Bureau ; in paragraph (1), as so designated, by striking , through the Secretaries of the Army and the Air Force, ; by striking the second sentence; and by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: Each report shall include the following: An assessment, prepared in conjunction with the Secretaries of the Army and the Air Force, of the ability of the National Guard to carry out its Federal missions. An assessment, prepared in conjunction with the chief executive officers of the States and territories, of the ability of the National Guard to carry out emergency support functions of the National Response Framework. Each report may be submitted in classified and unclassified versions. .
