Section 412 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 ( 7 U.S.C. 7632 ) is amended— in subsection (b)(3), by inserting handling and processing, after production efficiency, ; in subsection (e)— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph (B), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by inserting after subparagraph
(C)the following: consult with the specialty crops committee authorized under section 1408A of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3123a ) during the peer and merit review process. ; and in paragraph (3), by striking non-Federal and all that follows through the end of the paragraph and inserting other sources in an amount that is at least equal to the amount provided by a grant received under this section. ; and in subsection (h), by striking paragraph
(3)and inserting the following: Of the funds of the Commodity Credit Corporation, the Secretary shall make available to carry out this section— $25,000,000 for fiscal year 2014; $30,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2015 and 2016; $65,000,000 for fiscal year 2017; and $50,000,000 for fiscal year 2018 and each fiscal year thereafter. .
