Section 104(d)(1) (30 U.S.C. 814(d)(1)) is amended— in the first sentence— by striking any mandatory health or safety standard and inserting any provision of this Act, including any mandatory health or safety standard or regulation promulgated under this Act ; and by striking such mandatory health or safety standards and inserting such provisions, regulations, or mandatory health or safety standards ; in the second sentence, by striking any mandatory health or safety standard and inserting any provision of this Act, including any mandatory health or safety standard or regulation promulgated under this Act, ; and by inserting after the first sentence the following:
For purposes of this Act, a violation of a provision of this Act, including any mandatory health or safety standard or regulation promulgated under this Act, is of such nature as could significantly and substantially contribute to the cause and effect of a safety or health hazard if there is a reasonable possibility that such violation could result in injury, illness, or death. .
