Section 1235(f) of the Food Security Act of 1985 ( 16 U.S.C. 3835(f) ) is amended— in paragraph (1), in the matter preceding subparagraph
(A)by inserting , a veteran farmer or rancher (as defined in section 2501(e) of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act of 1990 ( before 7 U.S.C. 2279(e) )), or socially disadvantaged farmer or rancher ; and by adding at the end the following: There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $50,000,000 for the period of fiscal years 2013 through 2017. .
