Paragraph
(1)of section 37(a) of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 (22 U.S.C. 2709(a)) is amended to read as follows: conduct investigations concerning— illegal passport or visa issuance or use; identity theft or document fraud affecting or relating to the programs, functions, and authorities of the Secretary of State; violations of chapter 77 of title 18, United States Code; and Federal offenses committed within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States (as defined in section 7(9) of title 18, United States Code); .
