Sec. 10004. Authority to provide assistance

The Secretary and the Administrator may provide financial assistance under this title to carry out pilot projects, which shall be selected to ensure a diversity of project types and geographical locations. The Secretary shall carry out all pilot projects under this title that are eligible projects under section 10007(1). The Administrator shall carry out all pilot projects under this title that are eligible projects under paragraphs (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), and
(8)of section 10007. The Secretary or the Administrator, as applicable, may carry out eligible projects under paragraph
(7)or
(9)of section 10007.
