The purposes of this title are— to protect and enhance motorized recreational opportunities in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, the Lolo National Forest, and the Kootenai National Forest; and to protect and enhance the wild heritage and backcountry traditions of the State through— the addition of certain land to the National Wilderness Preservation System; and the management of other land in a manner that preserves existing primitive and semi-primitive recreational activities.
